a poem, in the works

Medium Rare

Love me like a steak.
Tender, juicy,
Pink-in-the-middle-raw.

You’ll be treated like a
cream puff,
delicate and sweet.

I go well with mashed
potatoes, pepper, and
sweaty onion-halves.

You pair nicely with wine,
crème fraiche,
salted caramel.

Handled wrong, we’ll
both be tough. But,
gristle can be flavor.

What do you think? It's fun how some poems are never really done. (Fun and sometimes frustrating...) I think I like it as is, but I'd love to hear any critique. Have a good afternoon!

Haha, thank you!
Even though the pun wasn't intended it was very nice :o) I'm a sucker for a good pun.
